COLUMBUS, Ohio - Bernardo Anor scored first-half goals from close range with his head and from afar with his left foot and Columbus held on to defeat the Philadelphia Union 2-1 Saturday in the Crews home opener. Dennis Johnson Jersey . Columbus won the first two games of the season for the first time in its 19-year history while the Union fell to 1-1-1. Anor was unmarked at the 6-yard box for a snap header off a corner kick by Federico Higuain in the 24th minute to put the Crew ahead 1-0. In the second minute of first half stoppage time Anor fired a pinpoint shot from 35 yards for the first multi-goal game of his career. Leonardo Fernandes scored for Philadelphia in the 62nd minute off a service by Sebastien Le Toux. Larry Bird Jersey . Raonic, the No. 8 seed from Thornhill, Ont., had 18 aces in the match. He needed one hour 39 minutes to complete the victory. Amir Johnson Celtics Jersey . - Tom Brady and the Patriots routed the Bengals and quieted the doubters.MONTREAL -- Michael Putnam and Tim Petrovic mastered the afternoon winds to shoot six-under-par 64s and take a share of the first-round lead at the US$5.7 million RBC Canadian Open on Thursday. But the surprise of the day was big-hitting amateur Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ont., who shot five-under 65 for a share of third place with Kyle Stanley. Putnam and Petrovic played bogey-free golf at the 7,153-yard par-70 Blue Course at Royal Montreal on a near perfect day for scoring, with sunny weather and soft greens from heavy rains the previous day. A gust wind came in for the those with afternoon starts, but it didnt stop Putnam or Petrovic from shooting the low scores of the day, which set the course record for an opening round. "It was tough ball-striking, but somehow I was able to keep it in the fairway and take advantage of the soft greens to hit a couple of shots close and make a couple of five-to-ten-foot putts," said Putnam, who has been playing his best golf of the season of late with top-35 finishes in his last three outings. The 47-year-old Petrovic didnt know he would play until he got a call on Tuesday saying he was in as the seventh alternate. The former PGA Tour regular, playing only his eighth Tour event this season, didnt even have his name on the program. There was no rust in his game, however. "I didnt set my expectations high because I got in late, so this was kind of my practice round," said Petrovic. "I walked the back nine (Wednesday). "It wasnt that I played conservative. I was just trying to hit fairways and greens, trying to see the golf course and see if I could make a few putts. I drove the ball pretty good overall." There were 11 players tied at 4-under 66, including Nick Watney and Charl Schwartzel, and another 16 at 3-under 67, including David Hearn of Brantford, Ont., and two-time Canadian Open champion Jim Furyk. Another dozen were at 2-under 68 and there were 23 at 1-under 69, including top-ranked Canadian Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask., and defending champion Brandt Snedeker. Another sunny day is forecast for the second round on Friday, with a possibility of wet weather on the weekend. The 23-year-old Pendrith, Canadas top amateur, had a dream day in his first round of his first Canadian Open. He recently graduated from Kent State University and hopes to play in the world amateur championships this summer before likely turning pro in the fall. Although its early, hes one stroke off the lead of a tournament no Canadian has won since Pat Fletcher in 1954. "I never expected that," said Pendrith. "I was playing good golf coming in here, so I just played golf. "Five-under is pretty nice. Everybody has some nerves. If you didnt have nerves on the first tee something would be wrong with you. John Havlicek Jersey. But after I played the first hole, I felt calm and felt I should be here." He played in the last threesome to tee off in the afternoon, when the worst of the wind was up, but used his long drives to cut through the tree-lined fairways and get close to the greens. He had seven birdies, including one on a putt that trickled in on the 18th, and two bogeys. "The front nine suits my game a lot," he said. "I can shoot driver nearly every hole. "I had four birdies on the front nine, all with wedges." Pendrith is 18th in world amateur rankings, tops among Canadians. He and fellow national team members Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., who shot even-par 70, and Corey Conners of Listowel, Ont., who was at 4-over 74, were given entries into the Open. Stanleys 5-under was the best among the early tee times. "I love this golf course," the Gig Harbor, Wash., native said. "Its similar to the one I grew up with in Washington, so I felt pretty comfortable. "I hit the ball well on my first nine today. I was able to make a few of the long range putts that got the round going for me." The soft greens made for ideal scoring conditions, but Stanley said the course is still a challenge. "That front nine is pretty difficult," he said. "Theres a couple of mid-irons into the par-3s and a 500-yard par-4 (the fourth), so its a kind of sneaky-demanding course." Stanley is best known for posting his only PGA Tour win a week after a memorable collapse. In 2012, he blew a six-shot lead in the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open and lost in a playoff to Snedeker, then bounced back with a victory at the Phoenix Open. This season has been trying for the 26-year-old. He sits 164th in FedEx Cup standings with only one top-25 finish, which was in October. He said it was premature to think about turning the season around after one good round. "Theres a ton of golf left," he said. "Its nice to get a round like this because it shows Im working on the right things." Hearn had a great round going until he bogeyed the 14th and 15th on his back nine. He recovered with a birdie at the 16th. "Any day you come off the course and shoot 3-under and feel you left a few out there, you feel its a good day," said Hearn. "Im not overly disappointed with the way I played. "I hit the ball great from tee to green. If I can continue to do that for the rest of the week I know Im going to play well." It was a rough opening round for some. Both Stephen Ames of Calgary and one of the tournament favourites, Dustin Johnson, shot 4-over 74. John Daly had 6-over 76, Scott McCarron turned in a 78 and Erik Compton shot 79. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

MIAMI -- With the bases loaded, two outs and the score 0-0 in the bottom of the ninth, Henderson Alvarez stood in the Miami Marlins on-deck circle, bat in hand, hoping to complete his no-hitter. Shaun Alexander Seahawks Jersey . Alvarez had blanked the Detroit Tigers for nine innings -- and briefly, mistakenly thought he had pitched a no-hitter. But the Marlins needed a run for him to achieve the feat. "I was nervous and anxious," he said through a translator. "I started praying, Please give us a run. I was hoping for a wild pitch." Thats exactly how Miami scored. Giancarlo Stanton crossed the plate standing up when a breaking ball skipped to the backstop, and Alvarez had his no-hitter, beating the Tigers on the final day of the regular season Sunday, 1-0. Alvarez -- who had been due to hit next -- took off his batting helmet and began to celebrate with teammates in the on-deck circle while still wearing his batting gloves. When the happy hopping scrum finally broke up, pitcher Jose Fernandez came away holding Alvarezs uniform top. "They were pulling on my jersey and choking me, so I took it off," Alvarez explained. Later, the 23-year-old Venezuelan went into the stands to hug his pregnant wife and kiss her belly. Of the 282 no-hitters in history, it was the only one to end on a wild pitch, STATS said. And it was the first walk-off complete-game no-hitter since Virgil Trucks of the Tigers threw one on May 15, 1952 against Washington. "Thats the beauty of baseball," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said. "You never know what youre going to see. On the last day of the season, what a treat." Alvarez needed the run for his no-hitter to be official, because a Major League Baseball ruling in 1991 said only complete games of nine or more innings with no hits count as no-hitters. Alvarez got it when Luke Putkonens first pitch to pinch-hitter Greg Dobbs was low and inside, eluding catcher Brayan Pena. Alvarez (5-6) struck out four, walked one and hit a batter against a patchwork Tigers lineup on the last day of the season. When he closed out the top of the ninth, he pumped one fist and then both, thinking the game was over. He remained confused until he got to the dugout and a teammate explained the situation to him. "With the emotion and nerves, I didnt realize we hadnt scored a run yet," a sheepish Alvarez said. "At the time I thought the game was 1-0. I threw my hands up and thought the game was over." Redmond said he would have sent Alvarez out to pitch the 10th inning, but that wasnt necessary. The right-hander capped a dismal season for the Marlins, who had the worst record in the NL at 62-100. He pitched the third no-hitter this year, joining Homer Bailey of Cincinnati and Tim Lincecum of San Francisco. Miami acquired Alvarez from the Toronto Blue Jays on Nov. 19 in a blockbuster trade. In that deal the Blue Jays got pitchers Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson, as well as infielders Jose Reyes, John Buck, and Emilio Bonifacio. Toronto sent Alvarez, Adeiny Hechavarria, Jeff Mathis, Yunel Escobar, Jake Marisnick, Anthony DeSclafani and Justin Nicolino to the Marlins as part of that trade. It was the fourth season-ending no-hitter ever, and first since Mike Witt of the Angels threw a perfect game at Texas in 1984. In 1975, Vida Blue and three Oakland relievers combined to no-hit the Angels and in 1892, Bumpus Jones of Cincinnati did it against Pittsburgh, STATS said. With the Tigers playoff slot settled, they rested four starters and had pulled three others by the seventh inning. Miguel Cabrera, who won his third consecutive batting title, never stepped to the plate. The Tigers post-season assignment was determined before the weekend, and theyll start a division series at Oakland on Friday. Prior to the game, Tigers manager Jim Leyland acknowledged he and his players were already thinking ahead. "I want to play this game, I want to win this game, but I want to get this over with and get home," Leyland said. "Guys are anxious. They want to get to the post-season." Alvarez made the Tigers eagerness work to his advantage. "He had a lot of movement, and he fed off the fact they were swinging aggressively," Redmond said. Twice the Tigers were robbed of hits by fine defensive plays, including Alvarezs leaping snare of Don Kellys one-hopper before he threw to first for the second out in the ninth. Alvarez struck out Matt Tuiasosopo on a 3-2 pitch -- his 99th -- to end the top of the ninth. Then he needed the help from the Marlins offence, which is last in the majors in runs. Stanton singled with one out in the bottom of the ninth against Putkonen (1-3) and took second on a single by Logan Morrison. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch, and they held as Adeiny Hechavarria grounded out to the shortstop. After Chris Coghlan walked to load the bases, Putkonens first pitch to Dobbs got away. Stanton scored standing up with his arms raised, and the Marlins mobbed Alvarez. At last it was official: Alvarez had his no-hitter, the fifth in Marlins history, and his first since grade school. Baseball appointed an eight-man committee on statistical accuracy in 1991 that defined no-hitters. That dropped 50 disputed games from the no-hit list. Alvarez, acquired by the Marlins in a blockbuster trade with Toronto last November, was on the disabled list until early July with right shoulder inflammation. His only previous complete game was May 4, 2012, a six-hit shutout for the Blue Jays against the Angels. He hadnt pitched more than 7 1-3 innings this season, and the no-hitter came in his 58th career start. The Tigers came close to a hit several times. Shortstop Hechavarria caught Ramon Santiagos liner in the third with an acrobatic leap. Detroit pitcher Justin Verlander, who is 0 for 27 lifetime, hit a drive to right field that landed foul by a couple of feet in the sixth inning. "You need to have a little luck to throw a no-hitter," Redmond said, "and we definitely had that today." Alvarez hit Prince Fielder in the back with a breaking pitch with two out in the first inning, then retired 12 batters in a row before Jose Iglesias reached on an error by Hechavarria in the fifth. Alvarez retired another 12 in a row before he walked Andy Dirks on four pitches with two out in the ninth. Verlander struck out 10 in six scoreless innings in his final tuneup for the playoffs. The Tigers right-hander allowed only three hits -- but three more than Alvarez. "He threw a heck of a ballgame," Verlander said. "To do something like that is pretty impressive." The previous pitcher to throw a no-hitter in the Marlins 21-year history was Anibal Sanchez -- now with the Tigers -- who did it in 2006 against Arizona. Sanchez watched from the visitors dugout as his fellow Venezuelan celebrated the feat. "It was great to be a part of such an exciting moment for this guy," Sanchez said. "He threw a great game, and Im really excited he did that." The last time the Tigers were no-hit was July 26, 2010, when Tampa Bays Matt Garza beat them 5-0. "I knew I was pitching a no-hitter early in the game, that it was a gem," Alvarez said. "I really wanted to finish it." NOTES: Marlins 2B Donovan Solano was held out of the lineup but said he felt fine less than 24 hours after being hit in the helmet by a 95 mph fastball. ... Tigers pitchers had 13 strikeouts Sunday and finished with 1,428 this season, a major league record. ... The crowd of 28,315 pushed Miamis final attendance total to 1,586,322. Playing in a ballpark that opened last year, they had the second-worst average attendance in the majors, ahead of only Tampa Bay. Patrick Kerney Womens Jersey . With a victory seemingly slipping away late in the third quarter, his quick scoring flurry helped Golden State regain control early in the fourth.A day after blowing a three-goal lead in a disappointing 6-5 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle was blunt about the stress that comes from a game like the one played Wednesday night. "I dont sleep well - I get stress headaches," he told reporters. "I get a lot of things that you guys probably never experienced. "Theres an adrenaline that comes with (coaching), but also pretty big lows & things like last night bring you to earth in a hurry." Of the problems coming out of Wednesday nights loss was the Leafs inability to generate offence in the third period, as Toronto didnt register a single shot in the third period and in overtime. Needless to say, 25 minutes of shot-less hockey didnt sit well with Carlyle. Asked if he ever had a shot-less period as a player or a coach, Carlyle was again a matter-of-fact about it. "Probably," he said. "Forgot about it in a hurry, though." Carlyle looked to the ";snowball effect with the penalties," that the Leafs took in a game that saw them outchance the Penguins 11-9 after two periods before their offensive collapse in the final frame. Patrick Kerney Youth Jersey. Three of the Penguins five goals in regulation were scored on the power play, meaning a defensive effort was also wanting for the second game in a row. The Leafs took a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Air Canada Centre on Monday night. "Obviously, weve given up 11 goals in two games and thats not going to cut it," said Carlyle. "Thats not going to work in the NHL." Still, Carlyle is convinced that his team can be better and knows that its his job as coach to ensure that it will. "Were salesmen, simple as that - coaches - and were selling a program that we believe in," he explained. "We can play to a higher level." The Leafs will next have the opportunity to find that level on Friday night when they visit the Buffalo Sabres. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

SOCHI, Russia -- The South Korean Olympic Committee has protested the results of the womens figure skating competition, although the sports international governing body has not yet received the letter. Mike Dunleavy Cavaliers Jersey . Also, International Skating Union rules always have required such protests be filed immediately after the event. The Koreans believe the judging was biased and cost Yuna Kim a second gold medal. The 2010 champion finished with silver, behind Russian teenager Adelina Sotnikova. IOC spokesman Mark Adams says any figure skating protest is a matter for the ISU to handle. Much of the uproar over the womens free skate centres on what many perceived as a lack of artistry in Sotnikovas program. Yet her marks were comparable or better than those for the highly artistic Kim. Her technical marks were significantly better. Anderson Varejao Jersey . TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays homestand doesnt get any easier tonight with the arrival of the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers to begin a three-game weekend series. Authentic Victor Oladipo Thunder Jersey . R.A. Dickey faces Anibal Sanchez in the opener. Toronto was looking to gain ground on AL East-leading Baltimore to kick off the week, but lost two of three to the Orioles. That left the Blue Jays five games out of first place heading into tonights action. The Jays were bested 2-1 in Thursdays rubber match, with Anthony Gose homering and J.A. Happ giving up a two-run blast to Caleb Joseph in the fourth inning that was the difference in the clubs fifth loss in six games. Happ yielded five hits and struck out a career-high 12 over eight innings. "Our lineup is what it is right now," said Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. "Some nights youre going to get that big hit, some nights youre not." On the same day that Toronto placed third baseman Brett Lawrie on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique, designated hitter Melky Cabrera was hit on the right elbow by a pitch in the first inning on Thursday. He tried to remain in the game, but exited in the third and is day-to-day after x-rays came back negative. The Blue Jays swept a three-game series in Detroit from June 3-5 after losing five of seven to the Tigers a season ago. The Tiger are coming off losing three of four against the Yankees in New York, despite running out three former Cy Young Award winners -- including David Price in his Detroit debut -- and a 13-game winner in Rick Porcello. Porcello took the 1-0 loss in Thursdays finale despite scattering nine hits over seven innings of one-run ball. His offense did little to help, going 0- for-4 with runners in scoring position one game after an 0-for-7 showing in such situations in Wednesdays setback. "Our guys pitched great, but as well as we pitched and played defense, our offense didnt match up," Tigers catcher Alex Avila remarked. Detroit saw its lead atop the American League Central over the Kansas City Royals trimmed to 2 1/2 games and will pin its hopes tonight on Sanchez. The right-hander has split his last six starts, going 3-3 with a 4.93 earned run average, but is coming off a dominating 4-0 win over Colorado on Sunday. Sanchez hurled seven scoreless innings of two-hit ball while striking out a season-high 12 batters without issuing a walk. Sanchez became the first Tigers pitcher to fan 12 or more without a walk since Max Scherzer on June 17, 2012 against the Rockies. "He used his fastball perfectly," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "He threw it in, he threw it out and as a result, all of his other pitches were much more effective." The 30-year-old Sanchez is 8-5 on the year with a 3.37 ERA and did not get a decision versus Toronto on June 3 despite seven scoreless innings. He also gave up just two hits in that one, striking out five to no walks. Sanchez is 2-2 in his career with a 4.20 ERA versus Toronto, which counters with its own former Cy Young winner in Dickey. However, the knuckleball specialist is just 9-11 with a 4.03 ERA this year after getting denied a third straight winning start on Saturday. Dickey instead lost an 8-2 decision in Houston, charged with five runs on nine hits over seven-plus innings. The 39-year-old righty is 6-2 with a save and 3.84 ERA in 16 previous meetings, including nine starts, versus Detroit. That includes a win on June 4 as he yielded two runs -- on solo homers to Miguel Cabrera and Ian Kinsler -- seven hits and four walks over just five innings. Kemba Walker Hornets Swingman Jersey . LONDON -- In just his third match in charge of Manchester United, Louis van Gaal oversaw one of the most humiliating losses in the clubs illustrious history on Tuesday. Sami Vatanen Ducks Jersey . The record 20-time English champions timidly capitulated to MK Dons, losing 4-0 to the third-tier club in the second round of the League Cup. Hired to halt the decline under David Moyes in the post-Alex Ferguson era, Van Gaal had already endured a loss and a draw in his first two Premier League matches before one of three possible routes to silverware ended in Milton Keynes. A second-string United was playing in the League Cup second round for the first time since 1995 because Moyes failed to qualify for Europe during his only season in charge. He was replaced by the coach who led the Netherlands to third place at the World Cup. Although Van Gaal made 10 changes from the team that drew at Sunderland, several international players including Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Shinji Kagawa were deployed. Van Gaal kept his cool in public after the game and did not tear into his teams performance, despite poor defending that gifted goals to the Dons and the fact that United needed around 70 minutes to manage a shot on target. "We didnt have the luck to score but at least we have created a lot of chances," Van Gaal said. "You dont have to forget we have nine injuries and we had a very young team, I have seen them trying to their utmost best. You cant expect more of the players." Van Gaal urged fans to trust him to turn around the fortunes of a team that won the Premier League by 11 points in 2013 before Ferguson retired after more than 26 years in charge. "(Supporters) have to believe in our philosophy," Van Gaal said. "We are building up a team and you cant make in one month not in one year of course. Its very disappointing but I hope they shall maintain their confidence in the club and in our philosophy because that philosophy takes time." A United side featuring David Beckham lost 3-0 to third tier side York at this stage in 1995, going out of the then two-legged second round 4-3 on aggregate. Nineteen years on, the humbling result took the gloss off Uniteds pre-match announcement that it had broken the British transfer record by signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid for 59.7 million pounds ($99 million). With a summer spending spree that has now hit $215 million, Van Gaal will be expected to quickly restore United to the elite of English football and ensure that Tuesdays result becomes a long-forgotten blip. "You have to analyze the problem and then you have to take your matches," Van Gaal said. "We know exactly what we are doing." Benik Afobe, a striker on loan from Arsenal, and Will Grigg were gifted the openings to each score twice on a memorable night for the Dons, which was originally Wimbledon FC. The 1988 FA Cup winners as Wimbledon controversially uprooted 90 kilometres (56 miles) from south London to Milton Keynes, a large commuter town north of the capital, and was renamed a decade ago. "Im a little bit shocked to be walking off and seeing the score line," Dons manager Karl Robinson said. "Its ridiculous. Its something that dreams are made of for these players. We work hard here and youve seen a youthful energy in the team ... this is a game for Milton Keynes as a city." United wasnt the only Premier League to be beaten by lower-league opposition, with misery also for West Ham and topflight newcomers Burnley and Leicester. Sheffield Wednesday of the second tier won 1-0 at Burnley, while Leicester went down 1-0 at home to fourth-tier side Shrewsbury. New signing Enner Valencia missed a penalty for West Ham as the London club lost a shootout 5-4 to Sheffield United of the third tier. West Bromwich Albion narrowly avoided a similarly embarrassing shootout exit by beating Oxford 7-6 after a 1-1 draw in normal time. Jack Cork and Graziano Pelle scored their first goals for Southampton in a 2-0 victory at Millwall, while Newcastle beat Gillingham 1-0. Scott Niedermayer Jersey . Born in Berkeley and raised in Oakland, where he later pitched for the As, Ross beat the Giants for the first time in six career appearances by throwing eight scoreless innings to lead the San Diego Padres to a 2-1 victory Friday night. Scott Niedermayer Ducks Jersey . -- John Fox will coach the Denver Broncos from the sideline and not the booth upon his return Sunday five weeks after heart surgery.MINNEAPOLIS - Raul Ibanezs first opportunity to be an everyday major league player came with the Kansas City Royals. Returning to the Royals more than a decade later, his hope is for another experience: post-season play. The Royals signed the 42-year-old Ibanez Monday, nine days after he was released by the Los Angeles Angels. "Its been in the works for a while. I was really excited about the opportunity to come here. I like the makeup of the club, and I like the possibilities. Theyre endless," Ibanez said in Minnesota before the Royals played the Twins. "Theres a great opportunity to do some special things here." The Royals entered Monday 3 1/2 games behind first-place Detroit in the AL Central and 1 1/2 games out of a wild-card spot. Manager Ned Yost said hell probably play Ibanez in the outfield, at first base and as the designated hitter. "Hes what we call a professional hitter," Yost said. "So we think hes going to be a big addition to our team." Ibanez, the second-oldest active player in the majors behind Clevelands Jason Giambi, who is on the disabled list, batted just .157 in 57 games for the Angels. Though 10 of his 26 hits were for extra bases, he said his balance was "totally off" at the plate. "Im just going to be myself and try to help this team any way I can," Ibanez said. This is his fifth team since 2011. Ibanez hit 29 home runs just last year for Seattlee, the team that he broke in with in 1996. Max Jones Ducks Jersey. He didnt regularly crack the lineup until joining the Royals in 2001, and in 2002 he had his breakout year with a .294 batting average, 37 doubles, 24 home runs and 103 RBIs in 137 games. "I have some very fond memories of the city. My son was born in Kansas City. Nothing would please me more than to be part of something that hasnt been done here in a long time, and thats getting into the post-season," Ibanez said. "Ive been in from the other side, and when youre playing against them you look at that team and you realize how far the organization has come and how much progress theyve made." The Royals made several moves Monday. Ibanez and infielder Christian Colon were added to the roster, and infielder Pedro Ciriaco and outfielder Justin Maxwell were designated for assignment. Colon was recalled from Triple-A. The fourth overall pick in the 2010 draft was batting .296 with 48 runs, 14 doubles and 14 steals in 74 games for Omaha. Yost said Colon will play second base, shortstop and third base. Kansas City also traded left-hander Donnie Joseph to the Miami Marlins for cash. He was designated for assignment on June 24. The 26-year-old Joseph pitched in one game for Kansas City this season, getting two outs on June 16 in Detroit. The Royals got him during the 2012 season in a trade that sent reliever Jonathan Broxton to Cincinnati. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

LONDON, Ont. Minnesota Twins Jason Castro Jersey . -- Anthony Mantha was a goal-a-game man in the regular season and the playoffs for the Val-dOr Foreurs. The 19-year-old from Longueil, Que., was rewarded for that consistency with the Canadian Hockey Leagues player-of-the year award Saturday. Mantha had 81 goals in 81 games and added another 77 assists for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion Foreurs. "For sure Im proud of that," the towering winger said. "Its a lot of goals, but the credit needs to come back to my teammates that helped me out through this year. "I think it was just a great season. I put a lot of pressure on myself by leading the team on the ice, off the ice also." Mantha was chosen for the CHLs top individual trophy ahead of Western Hockey League nominee Sam Reinhart of the Kootenay Ice and the Ontario Hockey Leagues Connor Brown of the Erie Otters. Brown was the CHLs top scorer in the regular season with 45 goals and 83 assists in 68 games. Reinhart earned the CHLs sportsmanlike award for recording just 11 minutes in penalties during the season. Mantha accepted the top-player award not long after the Foreurs were eliminated from the MasterCard Memorial Cup. The Foreurs fell 4-3 in triple overtime to the Edmonton Oil Kings in Fridays semifinal. The game was the longest game in Memorial Cup history at 102 minutes 42 seconds of play. Manthas teammates had already departed for Val-dOr on Saturday morning, but the right-winger remained in London to accept the player-of-the-year trophy. "It does feel weird," Mantha acknowledged. "Today, its an individual trophy that I won. For sure, I would have liked way better the trophy from (Sunday), but I mean Ill take this one. "Its a trophy that my teammates helped me out to win this year and I need to give them the credit." Mantha, six foot five and 204 pounds, finished the Memorial Cup with a goal and three assists. His was the lone goal in a 1-0 win over the host Knights to open the tournament. Mantha was drafted in the first round and 20th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2013 NHL entry draft. Foreurs coach Mario Durocher said during the Memorial Cup that Mantha returned from his first NHL training camp a changed player. "Last year, I would say a lot of critics were on my consistency level," Mantha said. "When I went to Detroit they tried to put that mentality in me and I think it did work for this year. I came back with that attitude and it was just a great thing for me." He was also Canadas top scorer at this years world junior hockey championship with five goals and six assists in six games. Previous winners of the CHLs top-player award include Jonathan Drouin (2013), Jordan Eberle (2011), John Tavares (2007), Sidney Crosby (2004, 2005), Brad Richards (2000), Eric Lindros (1991) and Joe Sakic (1988). "Its a great award to win and I think its something thats going to stay in mind for a few months if not for a few years, but I need to pass to another level in my career," Mantha said. "I think Ill be ready for it." Derrick Pouliot of the Western Hockey Leagues Portland Winterhawks was named the CHLs top defenceman. The Pittsburgh Penguins prospect had 70 points in 58 games with a plus-minus of plus-40. Jordan Cooke of the Kelowna Rockets earned the trophy for best goaltender. The 20-year-old posted a record of 39-7-0-4 with a goals-against average of 2.28 and a save percentage of .922, Halifax Mooseheads forward Nikolaj Ehlers was chosen top rookie. The 18-year-old from Denmark had a plus-minus rating of plus-65 while contributing 49 goals and 53 assists in 63 games. The coaching award went to Eric Veilleux of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, who reached the QMJHL final before falling in seven games to Val-dOr. Kingston Frontenacs forward Sam Bennett was selected the top NHL prospect. He is ranked first overall among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting for the draft next month. Erie Otter forward Connor McDavid won the scholastic award with an 87 per cent average in his second semester of Grade 11. Moose Jaw Warriors captain Sam Fioretti was recognized for his humanitarian work off the ice. He works with Moose Jaw police in their anti-bullying program. Jose Berrios Jersey . -- First baseman Carlos Pena and outfielder Brennan Boesch have signed minor league deals with the Los Angeles Angels. Tony Oliva Twins Jersey . Encarnacions historic month continued on Thursday with two more home runs, but his teams nine-game winning streak came to an end, as Kansas City managed an 8-6 win in 10 innings. An error by shortstop Jose Reyes with two outs in the ninth led to the game- tying run and the Royals scored twice in the 10th off Todd Redmond (0-4) to win it. Alcides Escobar singled and Pedro Ciriaco was hit by a pitch to put two on with no outs in the 10th. Nori Aoki moved the runners with a sacrifice bunt for Omar Infante, whose liner to left knocked in both runners. Wade Davis (4-1) tossed two perfect innings in relief of James Shields to earn the win and Greg Holland pitched around a two-out infield single to nail down his 15th save. The loss spoiled another brilliant performance by Encarnacion, whose 15th and 16th home runs in May tied him with Mickey Mantle for most in the month in American League history. Hes also one shy of Barry Bonds major league record set in 2001. "I dont know where it goes down in history, but its pretty historic in my mind," manager John Gibbons said. This was the slluggers fifth multi-home run game in May after hitting just two homers total in April. Paul Pierce Clippers Jersey. "Encarnacion is probably the hottest hitter on the planet right now," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "Hes got 16 home runs in May." Jose Bautista also went deep for Toronto, which had won 12 of 13 coming in. All nine Royals starters had at least one hit as their four-game skid was halted. Salvador Perez hit a solo home run, Infante drove in three runs and Escobar had three hits. Hoping to slow Encarnacion down on Friday will be lefty Jason Vargas, who is 4-2 with a 3.55 ERA. Vargas did not get a decision on Sunday in Anaheim, despite a solid effort that saw him surrender just a run and three hits in 6 1/3 innings of a 4-3 loss. Vargas has faced the Blue Jays seven times and is 1-3 against them with a 5.90 ERA. Toronto, meanwhile, will turn to lefty J.A. Happ, who has won his last three starts. Happ beat the Oakland Athletics on Sunday, as he scattered four hits and struck out seven over seven scoreless innings to run his record to 4-1, while lowering his ERA to 3.34. "Hes filling up the strike zone," Gibbons said. "Hes locked in right now." Happ has faced the Royals three times and is 2-1 against them with a 5.40 ERA. ROCHESTER, N. Karl Malone Jersey .Y. - The Edmonton Rush are one win away from a record 13-game win streak after defeating the Rochester Knighthawks 15-11 in National Lacrosse League play Saturday. Curtis Knight and Mark Matthews each scored twice and had six assists for Edmonton, which improved to 12-0, tying the 2007 Knighthawks for longest NLL win streak. Edmonton has one game remaining Sunday on the road against the Toronto Rock. Jeff Cornwall, Jarrett Davis, Zack Greer also had two goals each for the Rush, while Brett Mydske, Chris Corbeil, Robert Church, John LaFontaine and Cory Conway added singles. Rochester, which leads the East Division at 9-4, had two goals apiece from Craig Point, Cory Vitarelli, Cody Jamieson and Johnny Powless. Edmonton goaltender Aaron Bold finished with 27 saves, while Matt Vinc stopped 26-of-39 shots for the Knighthawks before being replaced by Angus Goodleaf. He allowed two goals on 10 shots in relief.Alec Burks Jersey .com) - The game was all punts and field goals before Kodi Whitfields catch. Joe Johnson Jersey . Jumpers for Jimmy Butler and Kirk Hinrich. A dunk for Taj Gibson, another jumper for Butler, and on and on it went. The All-Star centre put on quite a show. Noah had 14 assists in his fifth career triple-double, leading the streaking Bulls to a 109-90 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday. "Its really all my teammates," he said. "I think were getting better every game." Noah also had 13 points and 12 rebounds in his second triple-double of the season, but it was his deft passing that really stood out. It was the most assists by an NBA centre since at least the 1985-86 season and a franchise record for his position. "What can you say? He is playing MVP basketball," Gibson said. "He is doing everything in all facets of the game." Chicago had seven players score in double figures and set a franchise record by committing only three turnovers in its ninth win in the last 10 games. The Bulls also reached 100 points for the fourth consecutive game for the first time since Oct. 30-Nov. 5, 2010. D.J. Augustin had 21 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as Chicago (33-26) improved to 21-8 since Jan. 1 and a season-high seven games above .500 overall. Butler scored 19 points and Carlos Boozer had 14. "Weve hit a stretch where we have guys that are healthy playing that I think they know what to expect from each other," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "I think theyre playing to their strengths." While the Bulls are galloping through the weak Eastern Conference, the Knicks are floundering. Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and Tyson Chandler had 22 rebounds, but New York dropped its sixth consecutive game. The Knicks (21-39) are just 6-16 since Jan. 14. "Its embarrassing," Anthony said. "Its frustrating and its embarrassing." Swingman Iman Shumpert had three points on 1-for-6 shooting in his return to the lineup. He missed five games after he sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during New Yorks 98-91 victory over New Orleans on Feb. 19. Noah rolled his right ankle at the beginning of the second half and got it re-taped before comingg back in at the start of the fourth quarter. Trey Lyles Jersey. He heard more chants of "M-V-P! M-V-P!" when he went 1 for 2 at the line to make it 89-70 with 9:26 to go. There were more loud cheers when Jimmer Fredette checked in with 3:08 left after joining the Bulls earlier in the day. The sharp-shooting guard drilled a long jumper on his first shot, making it 107-83 with 2:16 remaining. Fredette, the 10th overall pick in the 2011 draft, was bought out by Sacramento on Thursday and cleared waivers on Saturday. His contract with the Bulls covers the rest of the season. "It was great. I mean, these guys did a great job the whole game and got a big lead and I was able to get into the game," Fredette said. Led by Noah, the Bulls jumped all over the Knicks right at the start. He capped Chicagos opening 16-1 run with a driving layup and rebound tip-in. It just kept getting worse for New York, which shot 32 per cent from the field in the first quarter. Butler scored 10 points and also found Gibson for a big dunk as Chicago jumped to a 37-16 lead, setting a season high for points for the opening period. "They came out with more energy than we did, took advantage of us," Chandler said. "On the defensive end, backdoor cuts that pretty much changed the game." The lead grew to 25 early in the second before Anthony and Amare Stoudemire started to heat up. Anthony made a nice pass to Stoudemire for a reverse layup that got New York within nine with 3:33 to go. Anthony drove the baseline for a smooth jam, but Noah found Butler for a jumper that lifted Chicago to a 59-48 halftime lead. Noah had 11 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds at the break. "You cant come on the road and start like that and expect to win," Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. NOTES: Anthony has said he plans to become a free agent this summer, and there was at least one sign calling on him to come to Chicago. "I cant see next year," Anthony said. "I cant even see tomorrow at this point." ... Stoudemire and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 14 points apiece for New York. ... The Bulls improved to 14-2 this season when they score 100 or more points. ... TORONTO -- Some call it the Ed-wing. Kyle Anderson Spurs Jersey . Others describe it as taking the parrot for a walk. When Edwin Encarnacion rounds first base on his home run trot, he raises his right arm slightly and sticks out his elbow. It has become a very familiar sight during the Blue Jays season-high eight-game winning streak. The Toronto slugger homered for the third straight game as the Blue Jays outscored the Tampa Bay Rays 9-6 on Tuesday night at Rogers Centre. Encarnacion hit one of three Toronto homers and starter Mark Buehrle picked up his major league-leading ninth victory for the American League East division leaders. Encarnacion, who has hit 14 of his 16 homers in May, also tied Jose Bautistas club record for most homers in a month set back in June 2012. "You cant describe it," said Blue Jays manager John Gibbons. "Ive been seeing that parrot a lot, thats for sure." Adam Lind and Juan Francisco also went deep for the Blue Jays, who outhit the Rays 13-12. Toronto has won 13 of its last 15 games and 18 of 23. "Theyre no fun right now," said Rays manager Joe Maddon. "Everything theyve got going on right now seems to be working." Buehrle (9-1), meanwhile, allowed eight hits and three earned runs over 6 2/3 innings. He wasnt as sharp as previous starts but kept the damage to a minimum. Lind and Encarnacion hit back-to-back shots in Torontos four-run fifth inning. "Everybodys having fun," Encarnacion said. "You can see it on their faces. Were playing great baseball when were on the field. So I think thats the No. 1 thing weve been doing. "Playing great baseball, playing the best baseball and enjoying it, enjoying the game." Linds homer was a two-run blast and Encarnacion followed with a monster shot that landed just above the second deck inside the left-field foul pole. Francisco added a solo shot in the seventh and Casey Janssen worked the ninth inning for his eighth save as Tampa Bay (23-30) lost its second straight game. Toronto (31-22) will go for the sweep of the three-game series on Wednesday night. "Just this offence and the way the guys are swinging the bat, it seems like the pitching - everything is coming together," Buehrle said. Both Buehrle and Tampa Bay starter Alex Cobb (1-2) were quick and efficient over the first three innings. The Rays scored a pair in the top half of the fourth and the Jays answered with two runs of their own in the bottom half. Toronto went to work in the fifth after Jose Reyes lashed a ball back to the mound that hit Cobb on his right side near the waist. Cobb stayed in but struggled through the rest of the frame, giving up an RBI single to Bautista before the back-to-back homers. "Id love to blame it on something but honestly it was really good hitters hitting good pitches," Cobb said. The Blue Jays tacked on two more runs in the sixth and a single run in the seventh. "It was one of those games that didnt feel good even until the end," Gibbons said. "We opened up the lead a little bit and then they tacked on a few runs to pull to within three. It definitely wasnt a comfortable game. "But when you fall behind, I mean were confident right now. Were really confident." Buehrle, who received a standing ovation after he was pulled, walked a batter and struck out three. Cobb allowed nine hits, six earned runs and a walk over five innings while striking out seven. His earned-run average jumped from 1.40 to 2.93. "I thought Cobb had really good stuff tonight, not pedestrian by any means," Maddon said. "He was really good, moving along really nicely and all of a sudden they struck." Notes: Announced attendance was 15,993 and the game took three hours to play. ... It was the fourth time this season that the Blue Jays have hit back-to-back home runs. Lind has three homers on the season while Francisco has nine. ... Toronto has hit at least one homer in 10 straight games. ... The Blue Jays longest winning streak before this was an 11-gamer last June. ... Gibbons challenged a call in the third inning when first-base umpire ruled that Yunel Escobar was safe. After a review of just 40 seconds, the call was overturned and Escobar was ruled out, making it a 4-6-3 double play. ... Navarro showed his mettle in the third inning. He was struck on his catching hand by Jose Molinas bat on an awkward follow-through and then took a foul tip to his right arm later in the at-bat. He said he bruised a finger and expects to play the series finale. ... Liam Hendriks (1-0) is scheduled to start Wednesday against Tampa Bays Chris Archer (3-2). ... The Blue Jays will complete the 10-game homestand later this week with a four-game series against the Kansas City Royals. Kevin Martin Jersey . The flanker began his comeback from a right shoulder injury by coming off the bench on Saturday when Wales opened with a victory over Italy. Warburton replaces Justin Tipuric, one of three changes announced on Tuesday by coach Warren Gatland. Spurs Jersey . "Theyve been good against everybody," he said. Carlos Gomez launched a three-run homer and Matt Garza battled into the seventh inning for his first win in four starts to help the Brewers continue their mastery of the Rockies with a 7-4 victory Saturday.SAN JOSE, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanour hit-and-run charges and felony possession of brass knuckles. TORONTO -- The Kitchener Rangers wasted no time on Saturday addressing one of their most pressing needs. John Obi Mikel Jersey UK . The Rangers took high-scoring centre Adam Mascherin with the second pick in the OHL draft. The five-foot-nine, 197-pound Mascherin had 71 goals and 66 assists in 66 games with the Vaughan Kings and joins a Kitchener squad that scored the third-fewest goals in the OHL this year in posting the leagues second-worst record at 22-41-2-3. There was no drama regarding whod be taken ahead of Mascherin. On Friday, the Sarnia Sting announced they would select American Jakob Chychrun, a six-foot-two, 195-pound defenceman with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, first overall. "Im really looking forward to playing for coach Trevor, (head coach Trevor Letowski) and my future teammates and working hard with them every day to hopefully one day build this team into a playoff contender," Chychrun said. The 16-year-old Chychrun had 16 goals and 27 assists in 29 games this season. He was also the youngest member of Ontarios team at the U17 World Challenge, where he had a goal and three assists in five games. Chychrun is the son of former NHL defenceman Jeff Chychrun, who won a Stanley Cup in 1992 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. "Were not only bringing into our organization an exceptional hockey player but an extremely mature and great person in general," said Rick Sinclair, the Stings head scout and player-personnel director. But Chychrun was certainly in the minority as 16 of the 20 first-round picks were forwards. The Ottawa 67s, selecting third overall, continued that trend by taking left-winger Travis Barron, a six-foot-one, 175-pound forward who was teammate of Chychrun with the Jr. Canadiens. Last year, Ottawa had the top pick and used it to select centre Travis Konecny, who was named the leagues top rookie in 2013-14. Konecny, 17, led all OHL first-year players in scoring with 70 points (26 goals, 44 assists) in 63 games. Three Americans went in the first round. After Sarnia took Chychrun, the Niagara IceDogs selected forward Logan Brown at No. 6, The six-foot-four, 210-pound Brown, a native of Chesterfield, Mo., had 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) in 15 games with the Indiana Ice this season. Then at No. 18, the London Knights took left-winger Max Jones, a six-foot-two, 190-pound forward from Rochester, Mich. Jones had 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) and 121 penalty minutes in 24 games with the Detroit Honeybaked under-18 squad this season. Both players come from hockey families. Browns father, Jeff, was a former NHL defenceman who holds the St Louis Blues team record for most points by a defenceman (78 in 92-93). Brad Jones played centre for the Winnipeg Jets, Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers from 1986-87 to 1991-92. Gary Cahill Jersey UK . The star receiver certainly isnt celebrating it with the Texans mired in a franchise-record 13-game skid. BOSTON -- The Phoenix Suns needed help to snap a three-game losing streak that hurt their post-season prospects. They got it when the Boston Celtics had their worst shooting game of the season. The Suns still had to finish well and they did by scoring the last seven points for an 87-80 win Friday night that moved them one game behind Memphis for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. "Our offence wasnt very good," Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek said. "Defence, when you arent shooting the ball well, can win you the game and I think it did tonight." The Suns scored just 58 points in the last three quarters. But the Celtics made a season-low 30.9 per cent of their shots and missed 65. Boston coach Brad Stevens was especially upset with his teams play after Jeff Greens two free throws for the Celtics made it 80-80 with 2:02 left, the fourth tie of the fourth quarter. "We didnt play with any poise," he said. "The last 40 seconds were awful." Alex Len started the decisive spurt with a three-point play on a tip-in and a free throw with 54.1 seconds left. The Suns (37-28) finished the scoring with a dunk by Markieff Morris and a layup by Goran Dragic, who led them with 20 points. Before the season people said "we were going to have 15, 16 wins," Dragic said. "We dont care if its pretty or ugly. We need to have those wins." Eric Bledsoe had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Morris added 15 points for Phoenix. Kris Humphries led the Celtics with 11 points, 13 rebounds and one thrown towel while on the bench when they collapsed in the final minute. "Hes upset because we lost and he certainly has got a right to be," Stevens said. "That was not a good ending. It was not a good performance." Chris Johnson also scored 11 for the Celtics, but threw a bad pass that was stolen by P.J. Tucker and led to the dunk by Morris with 23.1 seconds to play. The 7-foot-1 Len put the Suns ahead to stay after entering the game in the fourthh quarter when Miles Plumlee went out after being poked in the eye. Branislav Ivanovic Chelsea Jersey UK. The rookie centre was averaging just 2.4 points and 9.1 minutes per game before Friday but finished with six points and three rebounds in nine minutes. "Obviously, the tip was huge," Hornacek said, "but I think (with) just his size in there, he does a nice job of sliding his feet and getting in a good position, making guys shoot over him." The Celtics lost for the 10th time in 13 games while shooting worse than their previous low for the season of 32.3 per cent in a 109-85 loss to the Houston Rockets on Nov. 19. They trailed 64-60 after the third quarter, but scored the first nine points of the fourth to take a 69-64 lead on Avery Bradleys layup. Then the Suns went back in front, 70-69 with six straight points, but the Celtics pulled ahead 78-75 with 3:17 remaining before the Suns tied it on Bledsoes three-point play. The Suns led by 10 in the first quarter and by 11 when they took a 38-27 lead with 8:34 left in the second quarter. Two free throws by Channing Frye with 26 seconds to go put Phoenix on top 46-44 at intermission. Both teams went cold from the field in the third quarter. Boston made 4 of 20 shots and Phoenix hit 7 of 21. But the Celtics trailed by only four after Kelly Olynyk got an offensive rebound and sank a short jumper from the left baseline at the buzzer. UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- In Thomas Vaneks first week with the New York Islanders, the high-scoring forward has often said how thrilled he is to be playing alongside new captain John Tavares. Now he is starting to show how happy he really is. Tavares, defenceman Andrew MacDonald and Vanek scored second-period goals, and Kevin Poulin made 26 saves for his first win of the season as the Islanders beat the Boston Bruins 3-1 on Saturday night. Vanek, the left wing acquired from Buffalo for fan favourite Matt Moulson, scored his first goal with the Islanders and recorded his 500th NHL point. The scoring play came on a perfect cross-ice pass from right wing Kyle Okposo. Vanek finished it with a one-timer from the left circle past goalie Chad Johnson. "That felt really good, a relief for me," Vanek said. "Each day were feeling better and better and working together. Tonight you saw what can be possible with our line." Tavares knocked a loose puck past Johnson at 6:15 of the second for his sixth goal of the season. The assist went to Vanek. After MacDonald scored his first of the season at 13:13 to make it 2-0, and Bostons Dougie Hamilton answered two minutes later, Vanek notched his 255th NHL goal. "Hes a great skilled player," Tavares said. "When you get those opportunities, you have to take advantage of them, and he did. When we play our game and compete, we are successful." Okposo and defenceman Travis Hamonic assisted on the goals by MacDonald and Vanek. The Islanders (6-5-3) won for the second straight night. On Friday, they bombarded the Ottawa Senators with 57 shots and won 5-4 in a shootout, twice rallying from two-goal deficits. "Our last six periods have been very good," Islanders coach Jack Capuano said. "Kevin was particularly solid for us tonight. This was a strong character win." Tavares, who has played 221 consecuttive games, seemed more at ease with the new line combination of Vanek and Okposo. http://www.theworldsoccersshop.com/Mexico-Jurgen-Damm-Jersey.html. Moulson had been Tavares left wing and close friend since the captains rookie season in 2009-10, scoring 118 goals for the Islanders. Boston (8-5) lost for the third time in four games. The Toronto Blue Jays general manager made a series of bold moves that reshaped the club ahead of what would turn out to be a disastrous 2013 campaign.WINNIPEG -- Blake Wheeler knows the Winnipeg Jets are still a long shot to earn the final wild-card playoff spot in the Western Conference, but a decisive thumping of the team theyre chasing gave the club a glimmer of hope on Sunday night. Wheeler had four assists as the Jets stormed from behind to beat the Dallas Stars 7-2, pulling to within four points of the eight-place Stars, although Dallas has two games in hand. "Were a little too far back to have statement games," Wheeler said. "It was a good step for us. It was a good start to hopefully something good here. Weve got to rally and string a bunch together now." The Jets (31-29-9) managed to snap a six-game winless streak that crippled their playoff chances. "Weve liked the way weve been playing for the most part," Wheeler said. "The last three or four games weve actually played really well but it just hasnt worked out for us, so to get the results is definitely gratifying." Dustin Byfuglien had two goals and an assist for the Jets, while Jacob Trouba, Michael Frolik, Evander Kane, Ollie Jokinen and Tobias Enstrom also scored. Jokinen and Enstrom each added two assists in the teams highest-scoring game of the season. Alex Chiasson and Tyler Seguin scored first-period goals for the Stars (32-24-11), who had earned points in their previous four games. The Jets scored the next six goals after Seguin had given the Stars a 2-1 lead 7:02 into the game. Stars coach Lindy Ruff thought his team had enough quality chances to have a bigger lead. "Its more than just a loss," Ruff said. "We got off our game. We had some terrible turnovers and they took advantage of it. "I thought they stayed with it longer than we did." Al Montoya, starting in place of the injured Ondrej Pavelec, survived a shaky start and finished with 25 saves on 27 shots, including one on an Erik Cole breakaway that could have given Dallas a two-goal lead. "That goes back to experience I guess," said Montoya, who upped his record to 11-5-3. "Being put in that situation several times, youve got a choice. You either go out there and make a big save or you let the mental part of the game bother you. Im a battler and I like to think my teammates think the same thing of me." Tim Thomas started in goal for Dallas, but stopped just 13 of the 17 shots he faced and was pulled after Jokinens goal 29 seconds into the second period made it 4-2. Washington Nationals Jersey. Cristopher Nilstorp, a 30-year-old with five NHL games to his credit, came off the bench and allowed three goals on 17 shots. The Stars lost regular starter Kari Lehtonen to a concussion on Mar. 8. "Im disappointed in the way we played," Ruff said. "Im disappointed in the composure. I didnt think we showed enough resolve." After a wide open first period, the Stars mustered only three shots on goal in the second as the Jets built a 5-2 lead. "Its a really important learning process for a young team to have success in a big game getting down early and then coming back and being very good," Maurice said. Jokinen found himself all alone in front of the Dallas net after a pass from Wheeler and scored on a shifty deke to chase Thomas from the game. Then Byfuglien blasted a hard shot from the point on the power play to make it a three-goal lead. The defenceman-turned-forward scored again early in the third -- his 19th of the season -- and moments later, nearly became the first Jet to record a hat trick since the team relocated from Atlanta, but was stopped on a breakaway by Nilstorp. The eventful evening for Byfuglien ended with him leaving the game with a lower-body injury midway through the third period. Maurice said he expected Byfuglien to be available for the Jets game in St. Louis on Monday night. After Trouba opened the scoring at 3:11, the Stars took only four minutes to regain the lead. Chiasson poked the puck under Montoya after the netminder appeared to have control of a point shot. Then Seguin notched his 30th of the season after a pass from rookie Valeri Nichushkin. Frolik tied it after a giveaway from Stars defenceman Alex Gologoski, and Enstrom deposited a pass from Wheeler past Thomas to give the Jets the lead for good. The Stars are in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night and Philadelphia on Thursday before heading home. The teams have one remaining meeting, in Dallas on March 24. Notes: The Jets were also without centre Jim Slater (lower body) and forward Chris Thorburn (ankle), who were both injured on Friday night in a loss to the New York Rangers. a The NHL announced that the Stars will host the Columbus Blue Jackets on April 9 to make up the game that was suspended on Monday when Dallas forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the teams bench.
